meditation

The underlying theme of our meditation/guided relaxation program is the conviction that the body will find harmony on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level if we are able to quiet its physical and mental chatter.

Our meditation program is a unique and atypical combination of practices that was found to be very effective and efficient by our instructor, Patricia Zehentmayr. The components of the program include Mental Physics Exercises, Modified Tibetan Buddhist Exercises, and Circle Exercises, which Patricia learned from The Pranic Healing Organization. In addition there are Guided Relaxation exercises, which Patricia learned from George Falcon, who has Doctorate Degrees in physics, psychology and theology and was also the first non-Chinese Chi Gong master of his kind in the U.S.

“Here is what I know: I have meditated since I was a teenager and I am now in my late 40’s. I started as a self-taught meditator, and have also used Buddhist, Zen Buddhist and secular methods of meditation. I do not have a predisposed philosophical preference for or a bias against any approach – I merely want to do what is effective. In my particular case, I am in search of something that helps me achieve a state of quiet calm, peace of mind, clarity of thought, as well as a relaxed and energized body. When I practice meditation and guided relaxation with Patricia, I achieve these states in a matter of minutes. With other approaches I might spend 40 to 60 minutes and achieve a small fraction of the effect I do with Patricia. In addition, she can tailor the program on any given day to my wants and needs at that moment – she can make it more physical, or mental, or emotional, or energetic – whatever my needs are, she quickly helps me achieve them. I am truly amazed (and very pleased) at the efficacy and efficiency of her teaching...”
