Physical Therapyworks was started in 1996 by John Dravillas, PT, OCS, MTC because he's always been passionate about owning a physical therapy clinic that provided empathetic, personalized care and quality one-on-one treatment time with highly skilled physical therapists. John wanted to create and work in an environment where the emphasis is on what is right for the client. Physical Therapyworks and PTWorks+ are the realization of that goal.

John Dravillas, PT, MTC

John Dravillas, PT, OCS, MTC is the owner and director of Physical Therapyworks and PTWorks+, as well as Director of our Post-Professional Orthopedic Residency Program. He is a graduate of The Program in Physical Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, class of 1986. Washington University is consistently ranked among the top 3 physical therapy programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, and was the pioneer of movement-focused physical therapy education, research and treatment, which has since been adopted by the rest of our profession and educational system.

As part of John's professional education, he shadowed renowned Orthopedist John Itamura, M.D. over seven years to further his clinical understanding and skills in regard to shoulder and elbow dysfunction. John also has taken Continuing Education classes so far above the norm that it triggered an IRS audit. He has attained advanced standing as a Certified Manual Therapist (MTC) from the Institute of Graduate Physical Therapy and is also a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. John is also a mentor at the USC post-professional residency program and was recently nominated for the Henry O. and Florence P. Kendall Practice Award.

In his younger years, John played football, basketball and ran track. He currently enjoys workouts ranging from Pilates to boxing, and has been a lifelong yoga enthusiast and meditation devotee.

Alison M. Hanson, PT, MPT, OCS, CAPP-OB

Alison M. Hanson, PT, MPT, OCS, CAPP-OB is the assistant director and Physical Therapy Manager at Physical Therapyworks, a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and is also a member of the Clinical Faculty of our Post-Professional Orthopedic Residency Program. Alison attended Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Science in physical therapy. While at Ithaca, she earned both Academic and Athletic All-American honors while competing for the varsity gymnastics team. Her personal experiences with physical therapy as an athlete, combined with her desire to help people, resulted in a natural career choice of physical therapy.

Since moving to Los Angeles and having two children, Alison became dedicated to helping woman before, during, and after pregnancy, and beyond. After the birth of her children and her subsequent certification in Obstetrics, she realized how little education women are typically given at this important juncture in their lives and how much physical therapy can help these women.

Christopher Kwon, PTLA, DPT, CSCS

Christopher Kwon, PT, DPT, CSCS is a staff PT and a native of Southern California. He was born and raised in Glendale, California and graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies. Chris previously worked as an aide at Physical Therapyworks before attending West Coast University to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. He also worked as a Tier 3+ trainer and Master Instructor at Equinox, where he got to work with a wide array of people, ranging from adolescents that wanted to improve their functional sports skills to those with Parkinson’s disorder to improve their overall quality of life. Chris is certified in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) via Rockblades, kinesio taping through Rocktape and TRX suspension training. He also assisted in the implementation of a research study at USC that observed the effects of resistance training on improving the health and strength of prostate cancer patients.

Chris is passionate about learning and growing as a therapist, particularly in the orthopedic and sports settings. In his free time, he enjoys being active, lifting weights, indoor rock climbing, traveling, watching movies and spending time with his wife and dog.

Amy Shelton-White, Physical Therapy Assistant

Amy Shelton-White, PTA is a Physical Therapist Assistant at Physical Therapyworks. Originally from Massachusetts, Amy received her AAS from Casa Loma College in Van Nuys, CA, graduating as valedictorian of her class. Before entering healthcare, Amy enjoyed many professional hats, including property management, office administration and teaching. After having children, Amy’s lifelong interest in fitness and the life sciences, as well as her love for helping people, led her to physical therapy.

Amy is delighted to join the team at Physical Therapyworks and is excited to use her skills and knowledge to assist patients in attaining their goals.

In her free time, Amy enjoys playing with her kids, traveling with her husband, hiking, biking, sketching, painting, cooking and watching movies.

Andrew Bergman, Physical Therapy Aide

Andrew Bergman is an aide at Physical Therapyworks. He recently graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelors of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. Prior to working at Physical Therapyworks, Andrew has worked in outpatient therapy settings since 2014. When working with patients, he enjoys helping them gain confidence to return to their pre-therapy lives. During his free time, Andrew enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, and exercising.

Matheus Costa, Physical Therapy Aide

Matheus Costa is an aide at Physical Therapyworks. While he is currently working towards a degree in exercise physiology and nutrition, he aspires to be a physical therapist and start a clinic to serve the underprivileged in Brazil. He worked as a medical volunteer at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics and enjoyed serving people from multiple backgrounds. In his free time, Matheus enjoys weightlifting, playing basketball, and surfing.

Janice Lee, Physical Therapy Aide

Janice Lee is an aide at Physical Therapyworks. Although a native to Southern California, she graduated from New York University with a degree in Hotel Management prior to finding her passion and love for helping people restore themselves back to their full physical mobility. Spending many hours researching how to perfect form and establish mind to muscle connections in and out of the clinic and the gym, she is dedicated to sharing this knowledge with those around her. Janice is also currently working towards a certification as a strength and conditioning specialist. Having been active since a very young age as an avid tennis player, swimmer and equestrian, Janice is passionate about learning more about physical therapy in the orthopedic and sports settings. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, lifting weights, hiking and going to the beach.

Angela Liu, Physical Therapy Aide

Angela Liu is an aide at Physical Therapyworks. She is a recent graduate of UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Sciences and is pursuing a career in Physical Therapy. Her appreciation for physiology stems from her background as a dancer, having been trained in several different styles including ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip hop. She also loves to travel abroad and enjoys learning about different people, places, and cultures. She hopes to use everything she has learned, and continues to learn, to love and serve others to the best of her ability.

Rosangelica Rodriguez, Physical Therapy Aide

Rosangelica Rodriguez is an aide at Physical Therapyworks. She is completing her Bachelors in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Therapy at California State University Dominguez Hills and is currently working on her certification as a Performance Enhancement Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Prior to working at Physical Therapyworks, Rosangelica has worked in aquatic physical therapy and has traveled to the Philippines on a medical mission to help those in need. She enjoys working with people with disabilities and helping them turn their disability into ability. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, dancing, and discovering new places to eat.

Luck Ong, Administrative Assistant

Luck Ong is the Office Administrator at Physical Therapyworks and genuinely loves working with and helping everyone. A native Californian, she graduated from UCLA and went on to have successful careers in the airline and automotive industries prior to entering healthcare in 1994. Luck truly enjoys greeting, assisting and making everyone feel valued and cared about.

In her spare time, Luck enjoys attending live theater, movies, comedy clubs, concerts and Dodger games, and relaxing at the beach.

Michelle Adomeit, Biller

Michelle Adomeit does the billing for Physical Therapyworks. She studied business management at the University of Las Vegas and has 15 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. Michelle has worked in 14 different subspecialties within the healthcare field. Her knowledge expands from clinic operations and insurance contracting to healthcare reimbursement and consulting.

Michelle’s hobbies include interior design, world travel, and keeping up to date with current events.
